“When I get to where I’m going, people will ask me, “How was the ‘Retreat’ you went to?” My response will be, “It was not a retreat, it was a treat!” They’ll say, “I thought you didn’t want to go to one of those places.” I’ll say, “I didn’t!” They’ll ask, “why did you go?” I’ll explain, that my wife said, “El Cheapo, pack your bags, I’ll pay your way!!”

I’ll go on to explain, “if you don’t think you need it, you need it; you do, you’re due!” At Living Springs Retreat they didn’t tell me how to eat, they taught me what was good to eat. I learned that the original diet for people consisted of fruits, vegetables, grains, and nuts. By substituting and combining different types of food we can get all the necessary nutrients, etc needed for good health.

We were taught if, why, and how to develop good health principles. We were informed not to conform to this world’s eating habits, but to transform by eating the food and herb supply given by God. Yes, some of us saw and experienced how consuming food in their raw, natural, unrefined, unmodified, unprocessed state can help prevent and reverse diseases and other physical and health problems.

Yes, we learned about the laws of health and we were supplied with a wealth of bible gems of encouragement. We learned to eat to live and not live to eat! We also learned that we determine the way we die by the way we live. We were able to see that given the right conditions our bodies can succeed a healthy life. For the skeptic, know that you are offered sensible proven alternative healing methods. We can claim God’s promise of healing and good health.
